At the age of 18, after nearly dying of complications from Crohn’s disease, an inflammation of the intestinal system, Jason enrolled in the prestigious journalism program at Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada.

After graduating in 1990, Jason worked at CBC National News (Canada’s public broadcaster) as well as CHTV News in Hamilton, Ontario. After a second serious operation, Jason started working at The Weather Network, Canada’s 24-hour weather news and environmental channel.

After working as a news producer and show producer, he became the Manager of News and Information, responsible for all content on the network.

Leading a small group of talented journalists – some of whom also suffered from chronic illness – Jason oversaw the production of several award-winning news stories which surprised the journalism community and made The Weather Network a respected news brand in Canada.

Jason now runs Sick with Success™ a company that offers chronic illness coaching and organizational solutions. For a look at what others have said about Jason, check out our testimonial page.
